    Hello,

Being new here, I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I'm looking for an old version for my Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T model. Insyde Bios.

Version 1.23 is what I'm so needing. Stupid me I upgraded to latest in hope for a backlight-problem to disappear, but it turned out worse. I then downgraded to v. 1.20 - can't decide if it's running okay or not.

Could someone perhaps have an original unmodified version of 1.23?

Whoa.. my heart jumped a beat.. sadly no 1.23, but 1.26 and 1.28.

It's "funny" Acer doesn't have them on their servers included with release histories.

Have a look in this archived thread http://forums.mydigitallife.net/archive/index.php/t-7033-p-4.html
In these thread a link is given from the Acer site http://global-download.acer.com/GDF...re&Step3=Aspire 4810T&OS=V10&LC=en&SC=EMEA_27

I believe this is the Version 1.23.

Please make sure that you only use the correct bios for your Acer machine. I do believe that The Timeline 4810T model came with different specs which had different version bioses?

Your the man!!! Thank you so much. The 1.23 is the version it came shipped with.

I'm running 1.20 at the moment, apparently with no problemes, but now I have the option to upgrade to "neutral" if it bugs me. I've tried everything above 1.23 and yeah it boots okay but the minut I dims or brightens the backlight my operatingsystem freezes. And of course according to Uncle Google I'm the only person in the whole world with a freezing Ubuntu on the Timeline so no solution, but to not upgrade the bios.

    Thanks again!
