Outlook 2010 freezes when adding an email to it

    Good morning,

    What happens is when I add an email address to my outlook 2010 it freezes and I have to taskmgr and close it. I open it back up and it gets stuck on loading profile. I have to create a new profile everytime but as soon as I tell it to use an email address the cycle just repeats itself. Anybody familar with this issue? I used the EZ activator process and it is activated. Any thoughts?

    Follow up

    I tried to create a new data file and control panel keeps crashing. It will not allow me to ad a data file.

    Update

    I fixed it.


    I had to do a system restore, then what needed to happen was i called my provider and ask them for their SMTP and pop settings. They had changed their pop settings and not on their website. Once i added the correct pop/smtp settings outlook was able to open.


    So if it gets stuck on profiles AFTER adding an email address it's because Outlook will not open the default email address because of a misconfiguration.
