    Hi all,

i've tried to install Outpost Firewall pro x64 on my Win7(x64) Box.

At the end of the installation, Windows crashes with a BSOD. After reboot the same happens.

I have to boot in SafeMode and uninstall the Firewall. Same problem occurs with Outpost Security Suite.

    Any ideas?

    OK, guys.

I gave the brand new Comodo Internet Security a try.

Before the installation was finished, Windows told me that the application does not respond. After a lot of seconds the installer told me, that the application was installed successfully.

After a reboot, the system tray icon of Comodo appears, but if i start the main program it told me, that the firewall components aren't started properly.

My conclusion: Windows 7 is to nothing compatible except his own firewall ;)

That's the same version i've tried to use.

System crash during installation (BSOD) and after reboot.

I'm sure it depends on the x64 Windows i'm using.

It's because the networking stack has been tweaked since vista's stack...
That may be the problem here.
Same goes to some API Calls (call points).

I can't get my NIS09 to work on build 7022 of Windows 7. It install but none of the components can be installed.
However build 7000 fully supports it.
That's one of the main reason i still have it, even after already having 7022 installed 2 times.

    That's strange.

Now we have to wait for an updated version....
