It would help to know what you used to try and activate it. If it was Daz's program then you should have posted in his thread.

Don't worry, just do this: Go to Control Panel=>Programs=>View installed updates=>Navigate to KB971033=>Right click it=>Install=>Restart your machine=>Go to Windows update=>Change settings, and select check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them. Make shure when you check for updates to unsellect KB971033 from the list and send it to hidden updates. Thats it, hope this will help
I can not find anything 'off' in your MGAdiag report, except the blocked vlk for office, makes me wonder, a Intel board with ASUS slic? Don't you think MS is smart enough to assume ASUS would have picked one of it's own boards to build it's systems? Did you validate online? (using IE8, follow instructions timesurfer linked to in the post above)
