Hello to everybody I have an old PC running Windows 10 & Office 2016 The Windows licence is from Dreamspark (W7) and the Office from Ebay. Now i am going to sell this PC and i would like to transfer the activation to the Virtualized copy Probably is going to be a Hyper-VM but if for activation another supervisor is needed it would be such an issue. Any chance of retaining the activation or they will be long gone alone with the computer.
For Office to desactivate the licence : cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /dstatus=> to check product key cscript "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs" /unpkey:five last digit of key=> to desactivate For Windows to desactivate the licence: Use command prompt as admin and type slmgr.vbs /upk Then format the disk
These are fine about deactivating the licence..but when i perform the P2V i don't think i would be able to reinsert the licences...especially for Office.... I will do a check first as you suggested
Just something i thought...suppose i deactivate the licence from Office...and it turns out is gone...(as i said it was a digital buy) If i restore a full image backup will it continue activate or it will be dead for ever. ???
