    Hi everybody, I own an Asus P5AD2-E Premium motherboard that have an onboard Silicon Image Sil3114R Sata Raid Controller; I'd like to upgrade the onboard controller's BIOS to the latest version.

    I have the motherboard bios in a .rom file

    and I also have the .bin file of the sata controller bios;

    my question is: is it possibile to replace the sata controller bios integrated in my current motherboard bios, with the latest sata controller bios release?
    I have tried to open my motherboard bios (.rom file) with MMTool but I can't find the module that have to be replaced; could you help me?
    Thanks in advance! :worthy:

    You are trying to use wrong module. Download Sil3114 5.4.03 BIOS and use it. It is not that hard to do using MMTool. Find option ROM matching VENDOR & DEVICE IDs of your SATA controller and replace it with newer.
