Last week following Paragon's instruction I created both virtual machines of my home HP Windows7 and work Dell XP. I had no problem creating the virtual machines as described in Paragon's instructions. However, the Windows 7 won't load on my DELL XP using VMware Player but I just put it down to lack of patience and free time on my part. However, VMware Player won't also let me log on with my XP virtual at home under Windows7. The XP virtual machine was created from my work machine which has a pre-installed DELL XP. VMware player keeps trying to activate my XP. How to I get round this? It is a truly "legal" and "pre-installed" version of XP. I even went out and bought a 640gb portable USB HDD to run these two between home and work. Is there a better way of going mobile than what Paragon is suggesting? It sounded so simple. Thanking you in anticipation Yohane
Thanks Sebus. However, I forgot to add that I am running Japanese Windows7 and Japanese Dell XP. According to the "ONLY Sticky", that solution is for USA English only. Any other suggestions please before I mess with something I am not quite sure of what I am doing. E.g. BIOS. Much appreciated though. Yohane Solved using the BIOS patcher
Just use the modded vmware bios files for hp and dell from 'vmware mega bios' pack..and use them for activating the virtualised windows 7...Use the 'slic 2.1' bios.. Actually why you need to activate them again as oem version of windows activation is linked to the bios of the computers..so when you vitualised them.the os is no longer on your computer and vmware uses a different bios from your pc...so you need the modded vmware bios to activate your windows..
