Password Incorrect

    My daughter switched on her computer [HP Laptop] yesterday [running Windows 7]and entered her password as usual. However, it says the password is incorrect although she is 100% certain it is, she has been using it for some time. we have looked at the obvious such as caps lock and num lock being on.

    What next?

    The free utility Ophcrack is highly regarded for revealing Windows logon passwords. Google Ophcrack along with Windows 7 and all the information that you need is at hand.


    Edit - I just noticed that the link above provided by urie shows Ophcrack as the number 1 choice of several such tools.
