PC does not shuts down

    Hello PCHF,


    I need your help friends, i have such trouble in one PC. When user of that PC shut it down it does not off , it is thinking on the set of ,,windows shutting down" and it will in that position always.


    what is problem and what have to do about it?

    You may want to run "chkdsk" and "sfc /scannow". How old is the computer and is this a recent problem, or has it always done this?

    Is there any message about a program/process Windows is waiting for to end?

    i checked both chdksk and sfc/scannow...no problems whatever....still doesn't shutdown....anoying.

    There was no such trouble before. ok will try to run chkdsk and will post here results.

    Any program causing the hang up? Run msconfig and disable all startup items and reboot. Now try to shut down. Whether or not that works don't forget to turn the startup items back on.

    If this is true (you have no hardware issues and you cannot fix the software), it's time to wipe your drive and reinstall Windows.

    I have had this problem on my previous laptop Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV6.

    Not sure what caused it. Probably Wireless VZW PC770 PC 770 Mobile Wireless Card, I have been using.

    update in safe mode with networking it starts and shut down normally....so what gives?
