Hello All, I am currently running Windows 10125 on my desktop machine. I DL the file from the internet and burned it to a DVD using DeepBurner (I have used this program for years without any problems). I then decided to update to 10130, so I DL from M$ website and burned it to a DVD. I inserted into my PC and booted the system. The PC saw the file and started to do its job. After a minute or so it dropped back to the BIOS screen. I tried it again, but with the same result. So, I burned it with a different file burner, but got the same result. Next, I opened the file on my desktop and ran Setup. It started up and the early install screens appeared and things looked good. However, it too failed to install. I have never experienced this before and I wonder if you have any explanation.
Let us know where you got 350, we would all love to get it too. Oh, and it sounds like a corrupt download or you have bad ram. Try to download it again and if you have the same problem run a mem test. It might also be that your burner has gone bad, if you have one laying around try making a USB stick installation.
I got it from the Windows Tech Preview website. I DL it twice and burned each to a DVD.I know it is not my RAM, because I installed 10125 just hours before I tried 10350. Any other ideas? Thanks for your response.
I'm at a loss..it sounds like either a bad DL, a bad burner or bad ram but you are confident they are all working properly. You can try and find 135 which has been arond for about a week and see if you have the same problems with that one..otherwise I would just wait for the next build to be released.
He is already running 125 so I doubt it's the cpu and if he ran out of space it would tell him that..his problem is strange..it starts, it goes along and then just drops back to the bios..when he starts it from within windows it goes along and then just dies..that really sounds like ram to me when no errors are given and it just stops..or a bad cd.
I've had quite a bit of problems installing build 10130 and up due to a constant reboot loop at the boot stage, what I had to do was go into my BIOS and enable "Execute Disable Bit", once I did that I was able to boot the OS and install. Strange that every build before 10130 installed no problem.
I was having the same type of problem..tried installing with a dvd a flashdrive and straight from the desktop by mounting the ISO. Continued getting the same results that SAFE_MODE os failed in boot mode. After hours reading thru all the posts at MS community page I realized that it was a bug in this ISO and not my computer or me. I installed 10125 with no problem the next day. Maybe this is why Gabe and the boys are so slow to release the next build
I have a Core2 6600 2.4GHz. 64bits. 8GB of RAM. Brand new 1000GB HD. As I said, I burned 125 and installed without a problem. 130, nut'in.
GImageX and DISM are for clean install on a CLEAN Partition. and many are having the upgrade and/or clean install with v10130 so I recommended 10134 or 10135 and success/ honestly Window 10 is a long way from RTM-GA another VISTA. FU
