Can anyone tell me if I can use an Intel Pentium 4 (3.4Ghz) 478N socket in a 478 socket? I have an Asus P4P800-e Deluxe 478 socket MoBo.
    Thank You....

That board is getting a little long in the tooth. Watch those capacitors. I recently lost a socket 478 board because of swollen caps. Of course it was an Intel board so yours may last another 10 more years.

Personally, I think you'll be choked too much by attempting to use a single core chip with anything like Windows 7, 8.1 or 10, Like Bat stated....it'll run slow

The OP's 478 would be slower than Bat's socket 775's cam girl

Hey Man, Bat can usually boot up in less than three minutes  With a 2x1GB Matched set of DDR 400 RAM prolly make it in under 2 1/2 :D

Bat got a Asian Fetish but also pretty much any Latino, Island type, dark skinned Young girls :p Just not into blondes. Cost too much to maintain in makeup and stuff o_O
