It's optional on 32bit. To my knowledge, there's no easy way for disabling this requirement on Windows 7 64bit.

More ways to achieve it exist

    1) Enable testing mode in BCD and remove watermark
    2) Patch winload and kernel
    3) Instead of this resign needed driver with custom certificate

So its more difficult on 7 x64 than 8 or vista ? By your point of view is better 1 2 or 3 ?
I' dont know exactly which driver cause the problem, there is a way to understand which it is ?
I ' believe is something related to a driver used to boot the hdd os from usb wih some tool that make windows to go.

Better to explain what you trying to achieve first with what tools etc.

I've got a windows7 pro x64 installed on an external usb and the same copy now on external sata ssd with an usb adapter.
For what i can remember i have installed the os with a win to go tool i cant rember if it was pwboot or wintousb.
Now when i change pc say from dell to hp to zotac it does not boot (it will crash) unless i disable driver signature at boot.
(i believe it is something related to usb driver used for boot)

On the same hdd/ssd i have got 3/4 partition win10 win7 winXP and sometime macosx snow leopard (nawcom)
Now i'm playing most of the time with w7, i cannot have the same beaviour for XP tried many solution and for win10 i had no problem
until tonight but that is another story , also for macosx.

For XP i think the only solution its to try with XP2ESD but in the meantime (very lack of time) i'm cloning my old hdd to ssd.
(i have got also many old ide/sata hdd with XP i will love to have them to boot from usb or internal with sata on new hardware)
    I went from XP ide 30/60gb to sata 120/250gb w7/xp to 500gb w7/xp to 1tb w7/w10 now expanding only w10 to 2tb

I found the problem , ( i will open a new thread ) I'm using mostly Driver Easy and i was not paying attention that some driver are not WHQL
so this can cause the problems for unsigned boot problem ?

EsyBCD is a bit more newbie friendly, but bootice is waaay more powerful (and doesn't need to be installed, just click on it)

Checkboxes with a square black box means the feature is not fully enabled or disabled, just check twice, in this case

OK thanks just as confirmation, Checkboxes with a square black box means the feature is not fully enabled or disabled,
Checkboxes with a withe box is fully disabled and Checkboxes marked (v) fully enabled.
