I have two BIOS versions for a Gateway M465-E laptop that I purchased with Windows Vista Business. The first is version 71.10, and the second is version 71.12. Both have problems with the SLIC 2.0 [Vista] table. Version 71.10: This BIOS version only has the PUBKEY present in MOD_4A00.ROM and is missing the MARKER which should be in BIOSCOD1.ROM. I have verified with the Phoenix Mod Tool, RW Everythin, and SLIC Dump ToolKit, and all utilities inform me that there is no MARKER present [incomplete SLIC]. Version 71.12: This BIOS version has the PUBKEY in MOD_4A00.ROM and MARKER in BIOSCOD1.ROM [according to the Phoenix Mod Tool], but the SLIC table is not enabled. The SLIC Dump ToolKit gives an error because it is unable to find it. Thank you in advance for anyone willing to help. I would really like to enable the complete SLIC without adding a new SLIC [renaming to TEST or SLAC] into the BIOS [if at all possible].
