Some language versions of Office 2000 require activation (called product registration) within 50 times' running before April 15 2003, 0:00:15 UTC. After 50 times it will not able to use before activation, even can't be used as document viewers. But the registration wizard even can't connect to the internet on Windows NT 6.x. I called Microsoft Activation Center but was told the installation ID is invalid, because the format of installation ID and the confirmation ID is 17-character and 8-character mixed with English letters and numbers in the range of Product Keys (BCDFGHJKMPQRTVWXY2346789). For example, a sample of an installation ID is DF43 G8R3 CTHQ X4HK 3 and a sample of a confirmation ID is CDHX FGHG. For now, there is no way to complete the registration of Office 2000. Of course the registration wizard will be automatically disabled after the above date/time or replacing the file MSO9.DLL with the one of the version 9.0.0.7616 or higher. But I still want to find a tool to calculate the confirmation ID.
Can you send a link to the ISO you used? If it's not possible to send, please provide the MSO9.DLL file, though the ISO would be preferable.
Taking a quick look at this I think the registration is found in "LVREG.DLL". MSO calls a function in LVREG "LVRegisterUser".
I also found this while looking for registration wizard related data in memory. Here is the Chinese Simp version of lvreg.dll: 2720(RTM) and 3712(SR1 or later)
