So I use Divx Player and it's been stop working and then working again when I reinstalled Windows 7. For the past few weeks I've just been running on Windows 7 trial without activating it and I activated it last night. Tonight I tried to play a video on Divx Player and it didn't work. At first I thought it was the video so I tried a bunch of other videos and none of them worked. Then I just realized that activating windows caused the problem, because it was always fine when I did a fresh install and it stopped working after I activated it last night.

So, can anyone help me fix my problem without me having to do a fresh windows install again?

why are you using divx player ? it's bloated and never works proprely. Use daum potplayer. ( dvbsupport.net/download/index.php?act=view&id=230 )

    -plays all videos formats
    -good performance
    -good quality video
    -better than vlc player

    this should solve your problem.

Because I've used it ever since it came out. I've never had a problem with it until using this Windows 7. Also, I need it to stream videos when I don't feel like waiting for a download.

You know you can also watch videos while you are downloading them with potplayer. no need to wait for the download to be finished. only a few players can do that.

I do that all the time. ( if you get a ".part" file you must play the part file and not the video file )

I might just try that. Thanks.

[EDIT] Didn't work, I still have to wait for the whole thing to download.
