Playing Heroes of Might and Magic III - Complete in windowed mode? (Windows 8)

    So, here's the case... I'm trying to get Heroes of Might and Magic III - Complete to run in windowed mode, but it makes me think of downgrading to Windows 7 again. Something I DON'T want to do. Now, does anyone have a possible solution for me? It wants the desktop to run in 16-bit color mode.
