Like the title says, when I put a disc in the tray, I can see, after having disassembled my PS2, that the disc spins slightly, but then comes to a complete stop. I have been cleaning the laser with a cloth, but I hardly Believe that is what's causing the issue.

So, if any of you guys have any idea on what it might be, please don't hesitate to reply!

Also, the laser works, but the disc doesn't spin, that's all.

Either its the sensors or a lose band that needs to be replaced. More then likely, sensor related. ;)

It's either the disc motor or the door sensor. If the door sensor is faulty or broken it will detect the tray is open (or perma-closed in some cases), the tray closing is what executes the spin up signal.

But then again I could be completely wrong.
