Hello Guys : Sorry for the noob-ish question . I had Win 7 7000 build on my machine.I downloaded the 7057 32-bit build torrent and the file is 2.5 Gigs.Copied the files onto a DVD,guess what its not bootable.Tried to install it from XP(primary OS on C drive) onto D,where i had the prev build(which i formatted). Now the problem is that it would copy the files but when its time for installation it would just stay there forever.I tried installing the prev build(with success) and upgrading it to the 7057.But guess what the same result. Now please help me mates, how am i suppose to get this new build working ?. And thanks in Advance
Thanks mate .Do u think it could be a media problem. Can i install it from my hard drive or from my USB drive. Btw:Is the copy of 7057 build bootable ?
Check your iso make sure it is the correct md5 hash build for 7057 which is: MD5 Hash 1D6FE0F1 47B28CCD 6B69622C 31E509CF 521EADED If you get a different hash then your iso is invalid....
try using the method I described earlier to boot off a pen drive. When you say sits there, at what point is setup failing? Does the setup.exe program start? Have you tried running it manually from within PE?
Thank u folks .Really appreciate it.I tried burning the file with PowerISO at 2x.It booted off the disk this time.Dunno y its insanely slow at everything.Win 7 appears and sits there for 3 or 4 mins and then shows the first page where u select the Lang, and then all i get to see is the "installing windows" screen. It kinda stays there forever.Neither the DVD drive nor the HD is busy then. I haven't tried copying the file to a pen drive. The ISO seems to be a working one though,as i checked the MD5 and everything and it seems fine. There's a guy in neowin forum who has the same ISO and it works for him though. What next mates?
If you are installing 7057 to a sata hard drive make sure the drive is connected to the first sata port on the motherboard. I had the same issue until I changed ports.
Wow,thats wierd, mate .U might be right there. But the build 7000 installs just fine with current settings.Do u really think changing the port might work?
thanks a million bro.It worked and win 7 7057 works like a charm.I plugged my HD to SATA 1 and it works.Thank u again mate(sounds awkward to call a friend Bolthead )
Great stuff, I'm pleased changing sata ports worked for you as well. Don't feel awkward - it's just a name, and I've been called far worse
