    Hi,
I have downloaded, installed and activated Office 2010 using my company's HUP.

The file I downloaded was X16-32250.exe

May I ask if this is the 32 bit version, 64 bit version or both in one?

I installed it on a Windows 7 32 bit Operating System.
If I installed it on a Windows 7 64 bit system (and the Office executable included both) would it ask whether I wish to install the 32 bit or 64 bit version?

Would my activation code activate the 32 bit AND 64 bit versions of Office 2010?

I would like to download the DVD version of X16-32250.exe (uncompressed installation media). Does anybody know if this can be done from a Microsoft Server or other reliable source (maybe with a Hash)?
Maybe I can create the uncompressed installation media from the compressed .exe?
I tried this using WinZip and then attempted to install by double clicking setup.exe in the files produced but this did not work. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks indeed for any help.

X16-32250 is Office ProPlus Retail 32-bit.

It is a 32-bit install medium and will install 32-bit version only on both 32 and 64 bit systems.

The product key will work on both 32 bit and 64 bit version.

There is a Retail Combo DVD available for ProPlus

    Details:
    File: 14.0.4763.1000_ProfessionalPlus_retail_ship_combo_en-us_dvd.iso
    Size: 1,532,469,248 byte
    SHA1: C9A8C94328168041E09B3F4A9A529F6A1945C270
    CRC: 0BCBB624

To extract and burn it to a media you need to use the built in extract switch for it to work rather than 3rd party tools.
    Code:
    X16-32250.exe /extract:C:\Office2010

The above Command will extract it to C:\Office2010, just copy the contents of the folder and burn it to a CD.

    Thank you MasterDisaster.

Would you happen to know if there is a .nzb floating about for the Combo version and was it created by Microsoft or a 3rd party?

EDIT: I have downloded 14.0.4763.1000_ProfessionalPlus_volume_ship_combo_en-us_dvd.ISO but it has different hash values to the retail version.
Can I use this "volume" version with my HUP activation code?
What is the difference between the volume version and the retail version and what should the hash values be for the volume version?

Thank you once again for being so helpful.

The hash for volume combo would be

    File: 14.0.4763.1000_ProfessionalPlus_volume_ship_combo_en-us_dvd.iso
    Size: 1,617,412,096 byte
    SHA1: 598B23F4B89DD53EAFF899956F13ED55DA945CAC
    CRC: 974A8144

I don't know about a .nzb but I can give you the magnet uri for the torrent of Retail Combo DVD.

The difference between Volume and Retail is the difference in activation and how it is distributed.

Volume editions can be activated using MAK keys or KMS activation. It does not ask for a key when installing.

Retail editions can be activated using Retail keys. You need to enter a valid key to start installation.

    Thank you MasterDisaster.

...so I need the retail combo version and not the volume combo version with my HUP activation code yes?

Can I use a magnet uri with DC++?

Please give me the magnet uri.

    Thank you.

    DC++ (the latest version) displays....

"A MAGNET link was given to DC++, but it didn't contain a valid file hash for use on the Direct Connect network. No action will be taken"

What do you think happened here?

I haven't used DC++, so I'm not sure what happened.
Use utorrent, it will accept the magnet link.

Hi, I too purchased through the home use program and saved the file X16-32250.exe. When I now copy it using a USB stick to the new PC running Windows 7 that I want to load it on to I get an error saying "the installation of the package failed".
Is there a process I should be following? I have valid Product keys but don't even get a chance to enter them.
    Thanks for any help,
    Fred780
