Can someone post the default permissions for the \windows\installer folder please? I screwed it up after a windows module installer service problem and now want it back to default ownership and permissions. If anyone can post up a screenshot of the Advanced, Permissions tab I would be much appreciative. Doubly so if you can list the permissions ticked for each user on the normal Security tab. Thx!
Well, I was just searching for this answer and found this abandoned/unanswered thread, cursed miserably, then realized I'm on a working computer right now writing this. Windows 7 Home x64. They should all be the same. SYSTEM :: Allow :: Full control :: Not inherited :: This folder, subfolders, and files Everyone :: Allow :: Read & Execute :: Not inherited :: This folder, subfolders, and files Administrators (the group) :: Allow :: Full control :: Not inherited :: This folder, subfolders, and files Hope this helps someone, even if not OP.
