ESET Smart Security is the lightest security suite out there with top notch protection.. another choice may b Vipre antivirus premium but can't vouch for its effectiveness
Eset Smart Security 4 or Avast Internet Security 5..both are less memory consumers and very effective..
First off you need to tell us waht processor/CPU you are running, secondly what Operating System, Windws XP? Vista? 7? Thirdly, what version, Home 32bit, 64bit etc. Some antivirus products do not work 100% properly on 64bit just yet. Personally I use Norton (All PC's in house now run Windows & Ultimate 64bit or 32bit) and they all work with Norton fine, no issues at all on 6 computers.
latest norton antivirus is good but the earlier versions..god those are ram consumers.....even norton internet security 2011 also getting quiet good feedback...
Yea I tried 2009, was decent, then got free upgrade to 2010. May try 2011 sometime down the line. (2 year key tbh)
Eset nod32 anivirus or security suite which has firewall is my frst choice, or microsoft security essential suite eset nod32 runs extremely well on quite old machines
In terms of protection against viruses, the top I would choose are: Kaspersky Interent Security Eset Business Edition ..... The rest are garbage. Counterspy (aka Vipre) is good for one-time scanning if you already have a virus. Same goes with webroot, Norton, Stinger, TM, Spyware Doctor, and Panda. I set up a toolset that can scan a computer with those (and a few others) in WinPE, but for real-time protection stick with one of the two up there.
Try webroot security essentials or internet security.Really good.If u r Operting system is genuine u can install Microsoft security essentials.
