Hi, There are somehow many software I need to use on a regular base and I can not afford to buy it as it is a subscription based software. They have a trial full function version for about 7 or 14 or 30 or 60 etc... as it is different from software to another. So I do not want to use cracked or patched versions from the internet because it will be used on the main computer and I can not risk being hacked. I thought a lot about a suitable solution, and finally had that idea that I do not know how to apply it, so I thought to ask for your advise. Is there any .ISO for windows 10 that I can use that it is already updated to latest updates and software from microsoft like visual studio and some other stuffs required for developments? The idea is to setup it in a virtual machine using virtualbox or vmware, and then enable its activation, then have a backup of it. So from this backup I just open it and install the software I need in its trials and after trials ended, I reopen the backup image I've created and just reinstall the trials once again and so on. This way I can still use the software and with minimum effort of just trials being installed. The reason for that is that I want to reduce time and effort being wasted with setup and adjust virtual machine each time the trials ended. So please advise for best scenarios I may use for that purpose given that I will need these trials a lot, and some of them are mandatory for MS Office. I tried the SandBox component from windows features but it does not accept activation, and also does not accept installing office and many other software not accepted to be installed.
Just create a virtual machine that suits you and make a backup copy. Only you know whether it is suitable or not. You don't even mention the software or the supported platform, so no one can recommend it to you. Back to the topic, when you need to try your software, just import the virtual machine file you created, start it, and install the software you need.
From the virtual machine software itself!? You are right about that. The software is an Excel add-on that are trials and you install it and it is fully functional for a number of days then you must pay to register it. It is windows 10 IoT LTSC. You mean to install an OS in the virtual machine, then save or export it, and then later on in the same machine or another machine to import this virtual machine and start it directly? did I understood it correctly?
Code: You mean to install an OS in the virtual machine, then save or export it, and then later on in the same machine or another machine to import this virtual machine and start it directly? did I understood it correctly? Yes, this is the best. If you do not need to increase the capacity of the virtual disk you create, you can create a fixed VHD disk file, which will speed up the next import of the virtual machine. -And “Running speed”
Since I occasionally test old abandoned software recently, I also created several virtual machine files so that I can test them at any time and place.
