Sorry Pecel, I do not understand. For mod-bios my Laptop step by step step 1: Start my laptop under DOS step 2: go to folder Acer_4736ZG_V206_SLIC_21 (that you send to me, i download and extract it) step 3: continue to do so : run InsydeFlash.exe ? or run flas**t.exe KALG0206.fd /all (use KALG0206.fd in folder Acer_4736ZG_V206_SLIC_21, that i downloaded)....??? Please instructions me step by step... Thanks for your assistance !
I did not include flas**t.exe in the file I gave you. It is in the original bios file, BIOS_Acer_2.06_A_A.zip. So the steps would be: 1. Restart your computer, press F2 to go to your bios. Take notes some of the information there, especially: - Serial number - Product Name - Manufacturer Name - UUID All of the above information will be erased after you have flashed the modded bios. You can use Everest to copy the value of serial number and uuid if you like. 2a. From the original bios file, BIOS_Acer_2.06_A_A.zip, extract only the dos flash utility only, flas**t.exe. 2b. From the file I gave you, Acer_4736ZG_V2.06_SLIC_2.1.rar, extract only the modded bios file, KALG0206.FD. 2c. From the file Insyde bios dmi.zip, extract only dmi.exe. 3. Copy those three files to bootable usb flash disk / cd DOS that you have. 4. Restart the computer, boot from the usb fd/cd above 5. Save your original bios by typing flas**t backup.fd /8. Make sure if it is already saved, type dir. 6. Flash the modded bios, type: flas**t kalg0206.fd /all. After the flashing process has finished and the computer has restarted, press F2 to go to bios screen, you will see the information above is gone. 7. Go to dos again by booting from fd/cd, from the dos prompt type for example: dmi /wm Acer dmi /wp "Aspire 4736ZG" dmi /ws [your serial] dmi /wu [your uuid without "-"] 8. Restart the computer, press F2 to go bios screen, check if the DMI information has been written correctly. Enjoy your new bios
I wondered if it fails to modbios is very dangerous, my laptop will be die (i bought it 6 months) so I will try to use W7 Loader, if not successful I will modbios Thanks Pecel...
It is true that bios modding is a very risky. However, in your case, it is too late to be afraid as you have already flashed the modded bios succesfully and your computer is still alive The difference between the original bios and the modded one is not only 374 bytes of the slic table part, but whopping 597,493 bytes if you compare them using hex editor. Your computer would be already dead by now if the mod was not done corretly. So I'd say there is no risk now and I'm sure it will work. But then again, it's your call
anyone tried with acer 4736z? I tried the steps and still end up with the 3 days automatic activation and 30 days trial from slmgr -dil.... Any help would be appreciated... I did not want to use any loader
