Hello I want to have windows home edition and pro at the same dvd I tested and it does not work .. plz help tx
ok I have 2 computers on a home edition the other pro edition with home computer does not want to install my dvd because know one pro version so would like to know how to get windows core sorry for my english ^^ tx
...did you read 'Jessica Alba's' comment above? You DON'T need to modify ei.cfg or any other file for that matter as both versions are on the disk. If you put a 'Core key' = Win 8 Core will be installed. If you put a 'Professional key' = Win 8 Professional will be installed. - Loads of key's available to install either version; Google is your friend.
OEM EI.CFG Code: [EditionID] [Channel] OEM [VL] 0 RETAIL EI.CFG Code: [EditionID] [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 [EditionID] has to be there just nothing in the line directly under it. If you want to install a specific version then add CORE or PROFESSIONAL under the [EditionID] line. DO NOT DELETE [EditionID] FROM EI.CFG. When you add one of the EI.CFG files I have shown above, you will be asked what version of windows you would like to install. Tips: Add Volume to [CHANNEL] and change [VL] to 1 if you would like to skip adding a key during installation. Make sure you place EI.CFG in the sources folder.
Someone curious to check the differences? ...and maybe make a delta if there is a reason to... Could be simply padding data added to one of the ISOs.
THIS WILL NOT WORK. This is _Default: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 This is OEM: [Channel] OEM [VL] 0 This is Volume: [Channel] Volume [VL] 1 BUT THIS WILL (ONLY USE ONE). [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 [Channel] OEM [VL] 0 [Channel] Volume [VL] 1
