You'll get firmware upgrade only when Motorola releases it. At present there are no upgrades for your model. According to Motorola, for this series, YOU can't upgrade the firmware on the modem. If you reboot(powerdown and restart) your modem, your ISP will auto flash(notify) if one(upgrade) is necessary(available/newly released). You can't increase the internet speed totally just by upgrading firmware. To get better Internet speed, you must increase your connection speed only by changing broadband plans.
