plz help.....subtitles in wmp12.....

    hey....
    Watz up guys.....

    Can anyone tell me how to play the subtitles in wmp12?????
    I googled and get suggesion about the codec 'directvobsub' i have downloaded, installed and follow the instructions very carefully....
    But i failed to play the subtitles....

    plz help me....

    Get VLC. It easily plays and loads almost all subtitle files. Of course, if it is not synch., then get subtitleworkshop 2.51 and adjust to movie (will take some learning but not too much). Two great programs for synching movies and subtitles (if the uploader has not uploaded the subtitles or they are out of synch).
    After this, I use convert x to dvd, to burn the above movie+subtitle file to dvd.
    This solution works for me close to 100% of the time.

    thanks for help.........
    i use vlc also....
    i used to download to most recent vlc s when i get it.....
    but i lyk wmp12 most........
    and i want to find a way to display the subtitles....

    You should rename your .srt file exactly the same as your movie file name. Make sure they are in the same folder.

    I used WMP all the time but switched to VLC Media Player because it plays almost everything.
    Then I started using Media Player Classic in combination with FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder.
    This combination had some advantages over VLC imo.
    Later on I started using Media Player Classic Home Cinema in combination with FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder, that worked even better.

    Google for wmp-hc and free-codecs ;)
