    See header of this topic.

The only wise way to do it is to integrate the LP into the image with DISM. you can't normally install LPs from different builds into each other.

Hi boys, i'm new, greetings to all!!!

I have a question: I'm tryed to integrate Italian 7077 mui in 7100 RC but DISM tells me "Cannot integrate different Buils MUI" or something like this...
The question is How I can integrate 7077 mui on 7100 like the russians boys do?

There is some additional switch in DISM? Or maybe some LP file must be modified?

DISM here is used to mount the image and change some local settings. To integrate the MUI you have to copy all the files by hand, and also tweak the registry for language to appear in the list. it's like forced integration.

I've tried to "play" with the 7077 lp.cab in order to integrate it in the 7100 iso, but no success.

I've expanded all files in lp.cab, renamed all dirs and files that contain the string "6.1.7077" to "6.1.7100", edited the update.mum file and replaced all "6.1.7077" strings with "6.1.7100", repacked the all thing, but again, no success.

DISM has, according to my searches, only one switch with the parameter /Add-Package. That switch is /IgnoreCheck, that only stop process in case of an error.

I do it only for fun, because Win 7 RC with different languages is coming soon.

So I am just for fun!

Can you explain in more detail the "forced integration method" i really appreciate that cos i dont really matter if the RC will be in in more language, i want make the job all by myself just like these russian boys.

I didn't find a "force integration" method, as I didn't find where the system does the check for versions.

The other way is to have a 7077 build installed with a language pack, then install 7100 build en-US on another partition or better, another computer.
Then you have to gather all your languages files from your 7077 installation, stored in directories with names following your region code (i.e. fr-FR, de-DE, it-IT...), for example "C:\Program Files\DVD Maker\fr-FR\*.*" and inject them in your 7100 installation.

But you may be confronted to access restriction, the system doesn't allow you to copy files where you want, apart taking ownerships. On some system folders, you cannot take ownership, even if you're administrator with full privileges. Best way would be to reboot on a Win 7 Install DVD and open a command prompt, but you have to be very carefull.

And then, you have to play with Regedit, and inject <lang code> at some places. And finally you can go to the control panel to change MUI language.

Finally it gives you a non 100% translated system, with some problems like help system no more functionning, logon/logoff screens in english+other lang...

I've noticed some changes from build 7077 to 7100, one example is that the "C:\Boot" folder in 7077 has been moved to the 100 Mb hidden partition in 7100. And some registry keys that exist in 7077 don't exist anymore in 7100 and vice versa.
