My friend recently made me aware of a message he found on speedguide net/port.php?port=8889 W32.Axatak [Symantec-2002-082217-5638-99] - password stealing virus with remote access trojan capabilities. Affects all current Windows versions, uses ports 8888 and 8889 Safety first, so I made a rule in the Windows Firewall settings to close this port. Affects all Windows versions according to this message, but as W10 is the most recent I post this here.
