According to Intel's site the Intel G31 chipset based mobos have the southbridge ICH7R which supports RAID, yet none of the Asus or Gigabyte mobos with this chipset have RAID available. Now I ran CPUZ on my Asus P5KPL-CM mobo and it reports the southbridge is indeed ICH7/R. Out of curiosity I extracted the ICH7R RAID rom from my 975X mobos BIOS (Asus P5W64 WS Pro) then injected it into the BIOS for the Asus P5KPL-CM to see if it would at least post and boot into the OS, no issues occurred so it was safe. Now the next step (if possible) how to enable the RAID rom.

    I used AMI Tool 1.48.

Here are the clean BIOS and ROM files.
