    Hi,

Is it possible to change the OEM ID that resides in the bios slic table.

I've recently modded and flashed another bios for my Asus P5Q deluxe desktop board and activated win7, this time using ASUS slic and sli + ASUS cert (last time used HP slic etc..) but the slic ID and table are registered as _ASUS_Notebook and would like to change this to _ASUS_Desktop or if not possible just _ASUS_?

Is this possible without corrupting the slic and if so whats the best route to take?

    Thanks.

Ah, thanks Yen, interesting read over at the link you gave.:)

Just interested in whether it could be done or not with a hex editor.

Legit Asus desktops ship with the laptop SLIC, stupid, but that is the way they do it.
