I have 2 laptops one with Original Windows 8.1 and other one non-genuine

I have received the Windows 10 with the original 8.1

Any ideas how I could get it with the non-Genuine one? It was activated with windows loader

Hum correct me if i'm wrong but 8.1 CAN't be activated with DAZ loader only with MTK, if this the case you can upgrade it with the w10 iso burned to dvd or usb key.

If your Windows says it's not genuine, it should upgrade, but it will probably remain non-genuine. You should probably reinstall 8.1 first and then activate it with MTK so that it appears genuine, and then upgrade...
If it already appears as genuine there should be no problem.

if it`s asking for a key then your installing wrong version of windows 10
windows 8.1 can upgrade to win 10 home
windows 8.1 pro can upgrade to windows 10 pro.

have you tried installing from dvd yet , you can d/l iso without the media tool, you can get them from this forum, just look for the thread called All 282 non-Enterprise Windows 10 ISOs: "The Good, the Bad and the Get Genuine Kit!"

if windows 8.1 says its activated and you are 100% sure your version is windows 8.1 Pro and you downloaded windows 10 Pro there is no reason why install asks for key. make sure you start upgrade from windows not booting from CD/USB. and make sure upgrade notification is shown in tray, if its not then thers something wrong with activation.

All computers I installed Windows 10 on were first upgraded using the upgrade option with the Media Creation Tool, then after making sure Windows 10 was correctly activated, a clean install from USB selecting the same version (Home or Pro) without inserting any key when requested. Upon 1st connection to the Internet, Windows 10 is automagically activated again.

Yes Windows 8.1 says activated and I did the download via the media creation tool. I am starting the setup from USB but from within windows 8.1 and not as bootable although the usb is a bootable one
