Why not determine the version of win at the start of the script? P.S. I have no idea what version of win I'm dealing with and see no need to find out.
I guess it's not for win 10 ltsb. Also couldn't find complete changelog so had to download all versions and checked them all. It's always asking for a higher version. p.s: i might've missed a few versions, u kno there are alota them, maybe the changelog at masters.>..
https://github.com/farag2/Sophia-Script-for-Windows/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md All depends on your Windows version: the script naming is very simple: Sophia.Script.for.Windows.11.PowerShell.7.v6.3.0.zip that means that this version is for Windows 11 and PowerShell 7 only (unlike the default PowerShell in Windows is still 5.1). win 10 ltsb 2016 is too old. Why not to move to the latest Windows 10? Tt much more modern and faster. is it really difficult to indentify your Windows build and version?.. Do you know about the winver command? very simple. hanks alot. i think i knew that and found the version... I'm kinda lost and trying to find a way not to break things when i test diferent stuff from times of win xp and 7. thou, it does seem everything works perfectly on 10 stable releases, but sometimes it seems to trip some functions, for example when installing higher c++ and/or .net fw to pair modern soft wif yold. i tot it's just system comp properties... 've heard of winver... will check it.. honestly.
Faster to press Windwos and type winver. Nobody uses cmd to view Windows build)). You command will be transfered to conhost.exe for execution.
So i installed latest windows 10 clean. And the script constanly saying error no internet connection.windows defender definitions etc. Why do i need to update defender if i just updated to the required by the script windows build just to tryout the script. I did try disabling everything in the defender menus, same warning with 5 different versions of the script. That's so frustrating. I dunno... Ps. Hanks for the great script. I'm just tired. Actually last week i was pushed from stairs by some junkie and i can't really comprehed what i'm doing atm...
Sophia Script for Windows 6.4.0 released! Significantly improved scheduled tasks job! This is a check for me that everything works on user's OS. And you must update all Windows regardless you want to apply the script or for dayly needs. Hi. It cannot. It applies online that means on a working system. If you want to apply it, the script has to be fully re-written.
I have posted an issue on the Github page, but so far, no reply: Sophia Script keeps improving with every version, the only issue I have is the following values are always reset to default after running the script: Pagefile is reset to "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" Folder Options General "Click items as follows" is reset to "Double-click to open an item" Folder Options View "Decrease space between items" is reset to unchecked
