I have a laptop pre-installed with windows 8, installed it with windows 7 retail cd + using 'Multi-OEM' ISO Project from this link and it didn't work. do I need to downgrade my slic bios 2.1 to get the windows activation to stay genuine because as of right now, I'm using Daz loader for Windows 7 activation and I'm not sure how much longer this will keep my laptop windows 7 activation genuine for.
1. What is the exact model of your laptop? 2. Daz's loader is a complete solution; you are completely worry-free with it. 3. You can also use Professional or Enterprise & use KMS activation.
sony vaio sve14a35cxh daz loader is a solution, but will i have to worry if it stays unactivated anytime soon? I'm using os 7 ultimate so is this a better than enterprise? I installed windows using MBR format and legacy mode BIOS only have legacy/uefi so I changed it to Legacy to install OS 7
Ok thanks so I should skip downgrading bios to slic 2.1 and just use Daz? I also tried to install win 7 OS on my friend's laptop that was pre installed with windows 8 and it didn't work as well. I guess this bios 2.1 flashing only works for older laptops huh? these laptops shipped with bios 2.1+ so I don't understand why it didn't work.. I can't post any links but I used the Multi-OEM' ISO Project to the win 7 disc.
@boo123 Read this carefully; OA 3.0 is different from OA 2.x & thus isn't backward compatible. Your vendor may include both SLIC & MSDM table, but most of the cases it doesn't happen. Also newer bioses in laptops incorporate various security checks, so mod is difficult, even sometimes not possible. So it is better to stick with Daz's loader or use KMS activation in those cases.
