Preferred Windows 8 activation method - WMC Key or KMC?

If you take your customer dearly you should take the best option, which is buying WMC key.

 

What the hell is KMC?

 

I think he's confused about using a legit ProWMC upgrade key or KMS activator.

 

That settles it, BUY the bloody key... But first you need to have Win8.x Retail activated!

That way MS wants it to be ... generic activation tokens will do the same job .

 

I just got off the phone with Steve Ballmer. He needs you to purchase that WMC key. Those Lakers didn't come cheap, you know.

 

So any way to have it activated and then just pay the $9.99 for WMC key ?

 

After installing or upgrading to ProfessionalWMC it only needs generic activation tokens to make the system accept the WMC key .

 

So does it become a Genuine Valid MGA license / activation as per MS// as compared to KMS games?

 

I'm pretty sure that in the eyes of M$, activated is activated. Only you (and perhaps the NSA) know how you got there.

 

Yes. But this would be without a KMS working in the back to keep the Win 8 active. Does WMC activation make it such that when you call MS it checks out in their DB?

 

True ProWMC keys are Retail, so, yeah, permanently activated.

 

This is what I've learn from posts done by Murphy78 regarding other forums with threads that help with activation & getting WMC keys...

ProWMC Retail Key activated = Phone home to MS in a daily/bootup basis ???

KMS activated = Not phoning home on a daily/bootup basis but could be a problem in the future but shouldn't ???

 

If you have a legit Retail key, why bother?

KMS activation in ProWMC is due to a glitch in the KMS/licensing system. The VolKMS license channel exists and MS provides a GVLK key.
Yes, there are issues:
1. Duration is much shorter (30 days for 8.0 and 45 days for 8.1).
2. There is no automatic renewal from the OS itself (the Interval parameters from the KMS server don't work).
3. ProWMC can only be activated by a KMS server emulator. A real KMS server doesn't accept queries from that SKU.
4. It could get patched anytime, although they seem to give a flying f**k currently.

 

KMC is KMS and WMC put together, so basically it is unactivated system... )

 

So no matter the KMS prog in 45 days we would need to manually reactivate it ?? So KMS is as patchable/disablable as the phone activation from other forums.

Thanks a lot for explaining everything. My problem right now is not having a Retail key in order to be able to purchase the $10 WMC key from MS. Trying to figure out how to get pass that point... If anybody figures it out please PM me...
