PRO OEM SLP CD created, still need biomod??

    You need the ASUS_FLASH string in bios. If you have an asus board or computer, it may already be there..otherwise, you need a mod.

    yes, I do have a ASUS motherboard A7V8X. How can I check if my asus bio already has the string in it or not? Lastly, ASUS_FLASH basically just introduces the needed string into the original asus bio w/o changing anything else, right?

    OEMBIOS tool 1.1 indicates that I have ASUS (OEMBIOS.CAT CRC32=2411858C). So does that mean that my asus bio already contains the needed string? In other words, no bio mod/flashing needed in my case?

    I think you have everything you need. If you do a clean install with the OEM SLP CD you created it should automatically activate during the installation. No key needs to be entered. At least that is how it worked with my Gigabyte MB.
