After installing windows 7, I've faced booting problem.

The loading screen of windows 7 showed up, but it's stopped suddenly and my processor flash light's stopped working.

    I tried Safe mode.

    It's stopped running this file : Classpnp.sys

    what is the solution ?

    Regards,

Google "Classpnp.sys", see if any of the articles are useful - it will give you something to do while waiting for a reply.;)

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

    (i'm new here):D
I have exactly the same problem, I had it with 6956 too,
after the first restart PC hangs and nothing happens...it restarts and it restores my pc to the pre-install state.
I don't have a achi option in my bios.
    my specs:
    CPU: AMD Athlon64 x2 4200+ 65W
MB: Asus M2N-VM DVI(can't update bios I currently have 0201)
    RAM: 2x 1GB Kingston value ram 666MHz
HDD: Western Digital WDC WD1600JB-00REA0 160 GBytes
    DVD LG Electronics:HL-DT-ST DVD-RAM GSA-H22N ATA ATAPI
Network: Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
ps. windwos 7 is working great in virtual machine
i think we might have to wait for official beta:(
    LE:
On another forum somebody has the problem we have, but he had it with build 6801, and he has the same cpu and the same chipset(Nvidia MCP68) as I do.
I managed to update my bios to the newest, and now it hangs at "vga.sys" and "NDProxy.SYS".
    I have attached ntbtlog:

I have the same problem. My system is P35 board, C2d, 4G ddr2, 8600GTS. I tried to install to a backup hd hooked on to the IDE port. The main sata hd has been unplugged.
I noticed you are using a ide driver too. Is it because of the ide controller driver problem?

    Typing from win7.7000! :)
After tried all sorts of methods, finally I found the problem. My IDE HD's jumper was set to "cable select". After I changed it to "Master", everything went through smoothly.

    OMG I can't belive it:D It is finally working:D
The thing that solved it was using D-sub(vga) port of the motherboard to connect the monitor :D and not the DVI

I will try now the dvi port too:)

just install vista or xp over that partition, do not format and it will get you a stable OS to back stuff up with. After that reinstall Windows 7. Check the official MSFT forums too there might be one there or sevenforums.com
