    Hello,

I'm a big Vmware fan, but recently I decided to try VirtualBox and I have a problem, I don't know how to make my Virtual Hard Disk immutable, in Vmware making a hard disk immutable is about 4 clicks, so help me please

    Easy.

Select "New" and set a name and OS type, then when you get to the create a hard disk screen select to have a "fixed storage size". Job done :)

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

I think you miss understand me, I want to change my Virtual Hard disk to be immutable witch means that any changes made to it will be deleted once the VM is turned off.

When it comes to snapshots and persistent harddisks, VMware is the best....

I don't think there's a switch anywhere to do that, but what I do is take a snapshot of the virtual disk before I boot it, then revert back to my snapshot when I am done.

Thank you very much, although this is not what I wanted, but this is working just fine.
