Problem install.wim

    I have a small problem.Mounted install.wim file by GImageX, I can not copy any file to the Windows folder - no rights, what to do?

    Did you check read/write option in the mount tab ?

    Of course, and commit changes.Specifically, I mean the substitution of these 3 files ; uxtheme.dll, themeui.dll, UXInit.dll .

    Check permissions on the folder where you mount the image. Unmount it before. Be sure your antivirus is not checking it and eventually do an exception.

    or use old wim driver

    System32 files are protected, specially when UAC is on

    take ownership, or use runassystem

    "You must have permission to perform this operation" >> still the same, and I used the program runassystem and a registry tweak >> Take Ownership.reg ; I think I give up.
