Hi all i tried to mod a MSI 770-C45 Mobo with Dell Slic. Everythings works fine an Windows activates .... But 3D makes Trouble ( iDirect3ddevice9:resent failedevice lost LOCK failed ) So i tried to flash an original bios back and acpi shows me no more slic string but the 3d errors are still there ... i tried to reinstall windows , the gfx driver etc etc ..... So anyone knows about that ? ( same error occured on a Biostar Mainboard with AM3 CPU )
on the msi no video chip is on the board on the biosstar it was ... i will try to update the chipset driver now ... but i also di a clean install an error still there ..... i also tried ati and nvidia cards an error is still there ... ( hd 5850 , 9600 gt )
If you are updating the Bios to a new version, you may need to use an older Bios Revision on your particular PC.
so you mean to mod an older version with slic ? i flashed the 1.6 rev with slic and the 1.4 back ... slic is gone but errors are still there
No, I just meant to try an older version but you already have. Did you enter Bios Setup and reset Defaults and save after flashing ? Also Clearing CMOS (with a jumper or by removing the battery) may help.
yup i loaded defaults... i will try to clr cmos ... an one mistake i make is that the biostar was a h55 chipset also intel and not am3 but original the same error ... when running 3 dmark screen freezes an give the error msg above . it also shows that the display driver has been recovered and i get glitches on the screen. the gfx cards are still ok i tried em on a p55a-ud3 ( also modded slic bios ) an everything works fine
Nope i Changed the DDR3 Memory to another Brand ( The memory still is ok and working like a charme on a p55a and p55-ud2 ) Everything works now ...
