    Hello all!

I have an ODD issue I just noticed tonight, while looking to update drivers and firmware (noticed slow SATA II xfer speeds). I am getting the following message/s for most of the Chipset items in DM -

    Intel(R) C610 series/X99 chipset SPSR - 8D7C 10.1.1.45 (01/02/2018)
    \VEN_8086&DEV_8D7C&SUBSYS_86001043&REV_05\3&11583659&0&88 requires further installation.

Even updating to intel_Chipset_10.1.19485.8386(station-drivers.com) did not help ......

Any ideas? It's an Asus Z77 mobo, i7 6850K CPU LGA 2011-V3 socket.

    Thanks!

Personally I never liked those automated tools, in the XP days I used a small utility called "unknown device identifier" that was just a PID/VID database, with (where available) a link to the most obvious download location(s)

Since win7 I never had much problems given WU was way more effective, except for obvious things like AMD/NVIDIA/Intel VGAs

Then in the rare event of a device that wanted a specific driver (like some integrated audio cards) which share a generic vid/pid for multiple devices, an automated tool will fail exactly like WU or the first manual download from a random website.

Also given I never format even in the rare case of a fresh install, all drivers are already there, inside the driverstore folder of the old installation, just point the device manager there and you will get all you need in a couple of minutes.

Well, I did a Restore back to the oldest point I had. It seems the Restore issue was only with a single date. Things are back up, drivers all updated (via Driver Booster), but I have a separate issue that I will create a different thread for, as I have not been able to resolve it with the articles I have found so far.
