I beleive the Acer 2.1 slic requires the 2.1 certificate. I can't see anything you have done wrong. Have you tried Googling the error codes, there might be something wrong with your system files.
You could reset to 'trial status' and try again (see section 6g of the Repository) I think this works for Vista.
I notice you are only on SP1 for Vista.
The only other thing I can suggest is to rearm or try Daz's loader until you upgrade.
When you do go to win 7, I would certainly do a clean install.
    Hope you get it sorted.

I can confirm that. Acer 2.1 slic requires 2.1 cert. For cert refer to sticky thread.

    Installing Cert and Serial

Use Daz's loader to install the Cert and Serial.

Same error happened to me on one of my sytems, the others installed with the usual commands, but using the part of Daz's loader for Bios that has been modded, installed Cert and Serial perfectly.

yeah i noticed when i used daz's loader i didnt get the error....perhaps he uses a different method to insert it...........

But you cant change the certs that daz loader since they are integrated into the exe

Owell looks like ill just do full upgrade to win 7 now and clone my hard disk

Yes, they are integrated - but Daz provided a nice override feature. Consult his included notes for the gory details.
