I've been on the insider program since the first release. A couple of weeks ago I decided to downgrade to Windows 7 to be able to activate Windows 10. Everything worked as expected and I am now on running an activated Windows 10. A couple of days ago I decided to start getting insider builds again and activated the fast ring but this doesn't seem to work at all. I've been hitting Check for updates at least 10 times and Windows just keep saying it's up to date. I have checked the privacy settings and made sure all telemetry is enabled. Any ideas?

I would start with looking at this post for example http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/65334-DISCUSSION-Windows-10-Insider-Preview-Build-10547

Thanks for the link. I've downloaded the ESD, converted to ISO and made bootable USB. Running the setup from the USB inside my current build presents the next hurdle, Windows asks for a product key and this step can't be skipped. Tried a few I found on the net but none worked. I guess clean install is the only option.
