I have a full version of Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with a valid open-license installation key. A few months ago I was able to upgrade two HP computers, one laptop and one desktop, from Windows 7 Home Premium by editing two registry keys to "Professional". The first one went smoothly -- the second (a month later) would only work if I did NOT allow the installer to download updates to itself. Now I have a new Toshiba laptop, again with Home Premium 64-bit, but this time the registry edit technique doesn't work. I get the message that says Home Premium can't be upgraded to Enterprise. I've tried every keygen I can't find for Anytime Upgrade but they all fail. If I do a clean install, I will lose all the pre-installed Toshiba utilities, so I really want to do an in-place upgrade. What else can I try?
I can't for the life of me figure out the fascination with enterprise, WileyOne if I was you I would just do anytime upgrade to ultimate version using OEM:SLP keys found on forum.
glad to hear, yeah E will not upgrade to ultimate according to the latest report here on MDL; while i am here, can i request a 4 bucks enterprise licence, that is a great deal hihi
