processor upgrade need help

    Hi, i just want to ask some advice with you guys, I have motherboard asus M3n78-VM and a dual core processor installed.
    (AMD antlon(tm)64x2 dual core processor 5200+ 2.70ghz,installed memory ram 2.00 GB...
    Is it possible to upgrade my processor to the Iseries processor,INtel or AMD ?....I want to upgrad my processor because i want to make it more faster or better.

    the watt ratings also mater .. just because it fits on socket dont mean it will work.

    Going back in my memory, I had looked at the 5200 for my last computer ( ended up with 6000+ and paired it with an M378A-CM ) and the 5200 was a 95W chip, so I don't think power is an issue.. Asus lists that board as supporting the AM3 Phenom X4 965 which I think is probably the fastest processor you can put in that. I didn't see the listing for the Phenom 6 cores but the board should support 140w processors

    Looks like it is in even the Asus list and I just missed it... Good luck finding one as they have been discontinued since right around the time FX series AM3+ processors came out

    I have 4 Gb ram 4250 AMD redan hd graphic card 1gb and 500 Gb hard disk amd buldozer 4100 fx series processor but my system is still slow pl. Help me.

    I have never liked AMD.

    Go intel at least LGA 1155 on Z77 board. At least an i5 3570k. At least 8gig of RAM.
    That will make it faster.:cool:


    It's not one thing which makes a fast machine, it's all of them put together.
