    Im looking into getting a new processor and was wondering which would be better the amd phenom or amd athlon2 x4 quad core

    Phenom better but more expensive, also depends on which socket your mobo has & which processor it will support. Check mobo manufacturer's website.

    Well my motherboard will do the am3 processor its the m3a76-cm
