My daughter needs to re-install her Windows 7 Ultimate as the hard drive has failed. She has the DVD that she received from Microsoft. It states it is a Promotional Disc. The Windows number on it is X15-60567-01. She does not have the Product Key to install. Is there any way the product key can be located. Thanks

No it is not OEM. She got the disc from Microsoft while working at Best Buy.

If the computer your daughter has is OEM (Acer, Sony, Lenovo, etc.) then you can activate Windows 7 legally, you just need to confirm that her laptop has a bios with slic 2.1 and you can use the Daz loader to activate your Windows 7 install. Does not matter what Windows 7 SKU you install, as long as your laptop is OEM you can activate it just fine

I also recommend you get find a Windows 7 with SP1 already integrated to save you some time updating
