Put A Shortcut On Your Desktop For An Elevated Command Prompt

    It is often useful to have this shortcut on your desktop and it is easy to do. Using Windows Explorer (or your other file manager), navigate to C:\Windows\System32. Scroll down to the file cmd.exe. Right click on it and select Send To Desktop (Create Shortcut). Go to your desktop and right click on the new shortcut. Select Properties. Click on Advanced. Put a check in the box for Run as Administrator. Now you will always have it handy when you need it.
