Guys im trying to find a driver that works for win10 64bit everything i find dont work keep getting the same error...INF file is invalid the hardware is the ....qualcomm atheros ar938x driver windows 10 64 bit thanx
i went to the MS catalog and try all drivers 10 8.1 7 even vista nothing they just will not work on server im going to have to look for another card with working drivers.
The Win 10 drivers should work. Server 2016 is based on Win 10 1607. Maybe your not getting a good connection. Take it out & try some contact cleaner & try again. Qualcomm/Atheros/Killer, the inf should work. I've had 1 that had a bang and listed as unknown device but worked fine after a clean. Another (Intel) had a bang for Bluetooth but worked after a clean.
Sorry im trying to install on the srv 17763 2019 version but the win10 driver should work and yes the card is properly inserted in PCI slot u can see in my pic is detected by the mobo and i see light activity blinkning in the card so i know is working.. is just INF file will not work maybe win10 drivers dont work on srv 2019? i even try to edit the INF file with the latest win10 drivers from their unofficial site and still got the same error invalid INF cant be found.
Then contact Manufacturer by mail, hotline or websupport. Must be a mistake from their side when developping the driver and M$ did not test it in their lab. I've seen that long time ago with printer driver. I'm not surprised.
i told my friend to just return the card for a refund and will order one from newegg im helping him setup the server...he purchase that card from ebay i think is not a authentic Qualcomm must likely a Chinese copy thats why the drivers dont work.
thats the first thing we did ...we order another card should be here monday hopefully this one will work.
