Hi everyone, I am modding my Pavilion x2 12-b020nr Bios to unlock all menus. But I have encountered some question, I can really use you guys help. As I am a noob, please correct me if I have made any mistake.

    Here are my questions:
    1. Will AMIBCP corrupt bios on save? I found this from forum.notebookreview.com/threads/sandy-bridge-toshiba-bios-modding-thread-xmp-enabled.639689/.
    2. If so, how can I use a hex editor instead of AMIBCP?

In case you guys want to know, this is what I am planing to do:
    1. Dump bios region with FPT [Done]
    2. Edit dumped bios with AMIBCP (All tabs access to USER)
    3. Flash bios with FPT

I am really confused. Can anyone solve my doubt?

Thank you very much for your help!

What exactly do you want to unlock? To what advantage? If AMIBCP can open the rom, with no unidentified fields and save without error then it *should* be good.
There's a chance flashing back with fpt you'll loose your MSDM table (I'm assuming you got it with win10).
For no gain really why risk it...
