will my bios have to be modded to slic1.2 if it hasn't got it. to be able to install a legit bought disc of win 7.sorry im a noob.have win 7rtm on desktop and laptop with l**ders.
If your W7 activation doesn't use the OEM way it is no problem to have the SLIC 2.1 certificaat in the BIOS because it is not used by the activation proces. If the SLIC 2.1 is absent this is also not a problem with a Retail version you bouht with a official key!
No, just install Windows 7 RTM as any other windows release. When it comes to activation you have several options, download a cr@ck/lo@der and activate it, or modify your BIOS with a SLIC 2.1 table.... personally I would just use the 30 day re-arm trick until it runs out, and by then there should be several OEM master keys for Windows 7 out.
